Motorists driving through Joplin, will happy to know that IS 44, IS 44 Bypass, US 71 Bypass, SR FF, SR P, SR TT, SR 43 and SR 66 are available for their use.

The annual Boomtown Days festival held in August at Landreth park is probably more fun then you've had in a long time. There's a marketplace with craft and business vendors and Boomer’s Culinary Court with a lot of festival food. The best part however is the almost continuous music performed by a host of band throughout the three days of the festival. There is also a free arcade and a Chili Challenge Cook-Off. The festival is capped by fireworks on the last evening. Wildcat Park is the site of the Wildcat Glades Conservation and Audubon center. Next to this area are some of the last remaining chert glades, a unique habitat found only in this area and the biologically rich Shoal Creek where you will find migratory birds and other wildlife.
