Court Administrator is Peggy A. Beck. Peter Nelson is the township solicitor. The town hall is located at 1018 River Road, Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215. Then again, others put it on Turtle Creek Road.

Walding River meanders through this thinly populated rural township of 621 people. Washington township is spread over 100 square miles. Southern Ocean County Hospital is the nearest hospital and is a good 15 miles away. County Routes 679, 654, 542 and US Rt 9 run through the township. Garden State Parkway is nearby too.
