ABOUT THE AREA
The oldest structure in Fair Grove is a stone-burr grist mill, Wommack Mill, which was built around 1883 and which is on the National Register of Historic Places. This mill remained open until its doors were shuttered around 1969. During its operation it had several different owners and went by different names. The annual Fair Grove Heritage Reunion and craft fair is held at the end of September. With over 300 arts and crafts, food and fundraising booths this is one of the largest arts and craft shows in Southwest Missouri. There is also country music, dancing, period entertainment from the 1800's, a horse and mule obstacle course demonstrations, antique small engines, tractors, threshing and as always lots of food.
