US 412, SR E, SR W, SR Z and SR 84 all run through Kennett.

The annual Kennett Alliance for the Arts sponsored Fall into Arts festival is held each September. The festival starts on a Saturday morning with a "Boogie for Breakfast" featuring performances by several bands. The arts reflected in the show are in music, visual arts, street performances, art cars, photography, and crafts. There are piano recitals at the SEMO Little Theater and an "All Star" jam session. The festival usually has an outdoor performance of a play and there are food and drink vendors. Kennett has six city parks located at various places in the community. Del-Mo, Indian, Jones Memorial, Mitchell and Oak Haven have playground equipment, picnic facilities and restrooms. Jones Memorial, Willoughby and Mitchell Parks also have walking trails and Indian Park has a complex of baseball and softball fields. The Kennett Community Garden is the place for fresh and locally grown produce throughout the growing season. The Sheryl Crow Aquatic center, named after you know who a native of Kennett, has a junior Olympic-sized pool, a children's pool, splash pad, water slide and pool house, with a snack bar, showers and locker rooms.
