SR C runs through Goodman but you might have to look hard for SR 59 which runs through the extreme Western part of town.
ABOUT THE AREA
The arrival of the rails of the Kansas City, Pittsburg and Gulf Railroad in the county resulted in the erection of a depot in Goodman which at the time was known as the Village of Donahue. The town was later named for one of the owners of the Ozark Orchard Company. At the time orchards and strawberry fields, long since gone, covered more than 2,500 acres in Goodman and the areas around the city and were important to the early Goodman economy. Baseball and basketball programs are held at the Goodman Ball park.
