ABOUT THE AREA
Stewartsville lies just above the border with Clinton county. It was first named Tetherowtown for the man who founded it. The name was subsequently changed to Stewartville before it finally became Stewartsville. Pony Express State Wildlife area is located a few miles East of Stewartsville.
