Lepanto District Court is one of the state district courts in Poinsett county. SR 14, SR 135 and SR 140 meet in Lepanto.
ABOUT THE AREA
The Lepanto museum has all kinds of exhibits representative of the life and history of the area. There are stuffed animals, farm implements, a dentist's chair, military uniforms from different wars, an old switchboard, clothing from different periods and a bunch of old lanterns. The city was the setting for the film "A Painted House: based on a novel by John Grisham, an Arkansas native. The Painted House movie set constructed for the film remains standing and is a museum with items and furnishings used in the movie on display.
