ABOUT THE AREA
In this city you can still see antebellum homes which are over 100 years old and the Elkins Bridge over the White river is one of the original concrete bridges erected in the country. Elkins does not have a park that's extensive or huge. Its Bunch park has a walking trail, picnic tables, benches, large playground and a pavilion available for rental. Elkins is the gateway to several scenic and interesting areas; Ozark National Forest, Ozark Highland Trail and Pig Trail Scenic Byway which takes you through the Boston mountains region of the Ozark mountains.
