Hillsborough County offers a wide variety of things to do and see year round. The Lowery Park Zoo is a wonderful way to spend the day and it is located right in the city of Tampa. There are many parks and beautiful waterfront locations for the public. Tampa is a major US port city and has several cruise lines that leave directly from here. Any type of music can be found to listen to live on the weekends. The St. Petersburg Times offers a weekend edition in its Thursday edition, which tells you of the events going on all over the tri county area and some state events.<br>Whatever you decide to do when visiting make sure you take a drive down Bayshore Blvd. and enjoy the serene waterfront drive. While Tampa does not offer pristine beaches, it only takes 15 minutes to cross one of the 4 major bridges spanning the Bay Area to be on your way to one of Pinellas County beaches. However ladies, you must use moderation with the swimsuits though, as T-Back swimsuits were banned here several years ago. This is strictly enforced if caught. It all started with a girl and a hotdog cart, too many car wrecks on a major roadway. Next thing you know no one is allowed to wear them.<br>If you are a food lover then the Columbian is for you. The absolute best Spanish food at an elegant setting. On the other hand if you are more of a hot dog person, then you don?t want to miss Mel?s Hotdogs.
