In the same building as the Arkansas City circuit court you will find the Arkansas City County Court, the county court of Desha county.

An old church building and a part of the barracks that was used at Rohwer Relocation Camp during World War II. This museum has displays representative of the town’s history. John H. Johnson, patriarch of Johnson Publishing Company and publisher of Jet and Ebony magazines was a native of Arkansas City. His childhood home has been restored as the John H. Johnson museum. The museum's exhibit and displays relate the story of his success and contain artifacts from his life. Another structure from the city's early days still standing is the law office of Arkansas Governor X.O. Pindall.
