DeWitt Circuit Court is the Southern district branch of the Eleventh East Judicial Circuit Court of Arkansas County in the Arkansas Judicial Circuit court system. It happens to be located in the same building as the Southern branch of the Arkansas County court.

Several miles to the East of DeWitt, lies one of the largest remaining bottomland hardwood forests in the United States, the White River National Wildlife refuge. This combination of forests, lakes, streams, sloughs and bayous creates a habitat for native wildlife and migratory birds. A user permit is required for hunting, fishing, camping and ATV use but it's worth getting one especially if you want to see wildlife or hunt for deer, wild turkey, black bear, alligators, and waterfowl. You can fish for bass by day and catfish at night at East Moon Lake but be prepared for camping in a primitive area.
