Altheimer District Court is a state district court in Jefferson county. US 79 runs along the Western border of Altheimer, US 79 Business runs through the town and SR 88 makes an appearance in the Southeast corner.
ABOUT THE AREA
The Elms Plantation built around 1886 and on the National Register of Historic Places is now a bed and breakfast inn and resort stayover. There are guest rooms in the mansion, three small lodges and two cottages for overnight stays. There is a pond on the property which is good for fishing. The property is often rented for weddings and family reunions.
