Greenwood District Court is a state district court in the Greenwood district of Sebastian county. You can get through Greenwood on SR 10 which meets SR 96 midway through the town.

Founded around 1851, Greenwood was the first county seat of Sebastian county. Its courthouse went through three phases starting with a log house, followed by a frame structure which burned to the ground to be replaced by the present day courthouse. The end of the Civil War served as an impetus to the economy of the town. To honor the miners and recognizing the important role that coal mining played in the early history of Sebastian County; a memorial was erected Southeast of the Greenwood town square. It includes of a six foot bronze statue of a coal miner, an authentic coal car and two granite walls displaying the names of thousands of Sebastian County miners.
