Fordyce Circuit Court is also known by people around here as the Thirteenth Circuit Court of Dallas county in the Arkansas Judicial Circuit court system. It is located in the same building as the Magnolia County court. The Fordyce County court, which is located in the same building as this court, has the same clerk, phone number and Fax number.

Marks' Mills Battlefield State park is the site of one of the Confederate victories over Union soldiers during the Civil War. Today it appears much as it did then, heavily wooded. The annual Fordyce on the Cotton Belt festival, held each year on the fourth Saturday in April, celebrates the railroad and its historical significance to the town. The event has a parade, car show, 5K run, arts and craft vendors and food. Although the entertainment may not be the the special event it was when Johnny Cash brought his Las Vegas show here in 1982, there still are plenty of good and enjoyable performances.
