COMMENTS
The Danville District Court hears cases for traffic infractions throughout the Southern district of Yell county which generally refers to the area of the county to the West of a Northeast-Southwest line through Danville.
ABOUT THE AREA
Settlers first came to Danville in the 1840's and takes its name from a steamship which sailed on the Petit Jean in the early years of ship travel. It is one of two county seats in Yell county. The annual Yell County fair is held in the middle of September at the Sylvia and CW Worthington Memorial Fair grounds. The fair has crafts and educational booths, livestock judging, the Fair Rodeo and a fairway with food and rides. The Yell County Talent show and the Yell County Fair Parade are also a part of this annual event. The Danville Youth Activity center is a place where young people can play Miniature golf, skate or play games at the video arcade.
