ABOUT THE AREA
This is a town where you will find beautiful homes and lush landscaping the way it has been for a long time. The town lies along Banister lake and the lower Banister river and you can find farms all around it.
Mountain Road Historic District is shaded by trees throughout its length as it runs to the West from courthouse square. The buildings along here were built in the period from the early 19th century to the present. The 250 seat theater at the Prizery in South Boston is the scene of live theatrical presentations.
