ABOUT THE AREA
Flemington is the county seat of Hunterdon County, and when the county sits around the house, it really sits around the house! The township of Raritan completely surrounds the borough of Flemington. The borough has an area of about 1.1 square miles. Flemington is possibly best known for the historic Union Hotel in the downtown area that was built in 1814. Liberty Village, a major factory outlet center is another well-known place in the borough. Routes 12, 31 and 523 traverse the borough.
