Lexington Magistrate is the magistrate court of Rockbridge county in the Twenty-Fifth judicial district of Virginia.

General George C. Marshall, famous Secretary of Defense and five star general began his military career at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington. It is fitting therefore, that the George C. Marshall museum be located at the VMI parade grounds. This military man served as Chief of Staff of the Army during World War II and Secretary of Defense and as Secretary of State crafted the Marshall plan to bring European economy back. All these periods in Marshall's career are displayed at the museum. The exhibits follow his career from young lieutenant to show how he influenced the outcome of World War II, the relief of war-torn Europe, and the beginning of the Cold War. There are two other museums worth visiting in Lexington. One them, the Museum of Military Memorabilia, has exhibits relating to the American, British and International military. The other, the Rockbridge Historical society's Campbell House museum, has exhibits which tell a story of Roskbridge county.
