Flathead County Court is more formally known as Flathead District Court and is in the Eleventh judicial district of Montana.

Flathead county is huge but a large part of the land in the county is taken up by national or state forest land, wilderness, agricultural and corporate timber land; thus a very small portion is available for development. However with Glacier National park, Flathead lake and Hungry Horse reservoir lying in the county their are many outdoor recreational opportunities for the residents. All these natural attributes attract a large number of visitors during the Summer, significantly increasing the population during that time. Visitors to this area can take in the the Glacier Symphony and the Glacier Chorale concerts performed at the Whitefish Performing Arts center, Flathead High School Performance Hall or Glacier High School Performance Hall during their series running from October to May.
