Hill County Court, sometimes called Hill district Court (Ext. 226, Fax 406-265-3693) and the Havre Justice Court (Ext. 241, Fax 406-262-9441) are part of what is here called Havre Court and are in the Twelfth judicial district of Montana. The justice court handles civic and traffic infractions occurring in Hill county, outside of the Havre city limits. US 2 runs all the way across Hill county and on its way encounters US 87 and SR 232.

The annual Living History Day in early June features some very good tours during which visitors can experience the history of this town and county. The tour of Fort Assinniboine includes live demonstrations by the Bullhook Bottoms Black Powder club. During a tour of Havre's underground you can visit the Sporting Eagle Saloon, Gourley Brothers bakery, Havre’s Meat Market and get an old fashioned penny candy at Holland and Son Mercantile. The underground is a continuation of the location of some of the town's businesses in the earlt days of the town. If you get over to Havre’s unique Buffalo Jump, you will actually get to go over the jump and see the bones of Buffalo in their original state. If you visit nearby Beaver Creek park you might have an opportunity to see whitetail and mule deer, bobcat, beaver, coyote, fox, mink, pheasants, grouse, Golden Eagles and hawks.
