ABOUT THE AREA
Branchburg township is a semi-rural township with a population of nearly 14,600. It\'s hamlets North Branch and Neshanic are partly rural, thereby giving this township a country look. The township generates and uses solar energy. The all-purpose Duke Island Park is a 3 minute drive from the Courthouse area. Neshanic Valley Golf Course is located in the South Branch area of the township. North Branch has a big depot that was recently inaugurated. US Rt 202, US Rt 22 and Rt 28 pass through the township and allow easy passage to I-78 and I-287. Branchburg residents also avail of the good bus service provided by the township. Other major roadways are County roads 637, 614, 641, 625, 629 and 567.
