Darby Court lies within Montana's Twenty-First judicial district. US 93 becomes Main street as it passes through Darby.

The people in Darby are lucky, each day they can see the beautiful Bitterroot mountains or venture into the valley to see some of the large number of wildlife that frequent the area. One of the first hand-hewn cabins built in the area by an early settler around 1886, on his homestead, near the mouth of Tin Cup Creek; was purchased by one of the city's citizens and moved to its present location adjacent to the city park on US Highway 93. It quickly became a place to store a collection of both home and business artifacts saved by the many pioneer families in the area. Therefore it did not take much to establish it as the Darby Pioneer Memorial museum. an exciting event held here each year in July is the Darby Logger Days, a national logging and cutting competition. The event features seventeen traditional logging competitions including axe throwing, pole climbing, log roll and cross-cut sawing. There are other activities as well such as tricycle races and tug-of-war contests for all ages.
