Raritan has nearly 6500 denizens. The borough believes that it is a friendly town of friendly people - if you have to have a motto, that is not too bad we guess. Raritan Valley Country Club is within the borough limits. Bridgewater Commons Mall in Bridgewater is the nearest mall. Raritan Pharmacy, a hospital equipment & supplies manufacturer, is located in the borough. Routes 567, 28. 626 and US Routes 202 and 206 traverse the borough. The borough is served by NJ Transit too. The recently built River Park Apartment Complex has over 200 well-furnished posh apartments.
