Mohall District Court is also known as the district court of Renville county and is in the Northeast judicial district of North Dakota.

Founded around 1910, Renville relies mainly on agriculture and oil for its economy. The Upper Souris National Wildlife refuge covering approximately 32,000 acre is managed by the US Fish and Wildlife service. Lake Darling, a lake covering 10,000 acres is located in this refuge. Migratory birds and other wildlife can regularly be seen here and during spring and fall migrations upwards of 350,000 waterfowl make this place a stop. Among the many species of birds that be seen here are Tundra swans, pintail, canvas-backs, redheads, buffleheads, grebes, cormorants, great blue herons, White pelicans aird's, LeConte's, and sharp tailed sparrows and Spraque's pipit. Whitetaile deer, antelope, elk, moose, muskrats, raccoons and mink are occasional visitors to the area.
