Where as SR 44 runs through the Eastern part of Drayton, IS 29 runs along the Western edge and they both meet SR 66 on the Northern edge of town.

The Red river running along the Eastern edge of town has an abudance of northern pike, sauger, walleye, smallmouth bass, and carp attracting fishermen from far and wild including Europe and Australia. However the size of the channel catfish in this river has led to Drayton being called the Catfish capital of the North. The city has provided a concrete ramp, fishing dock and boat dock and fish cleaning station. along the banks of the river. Schumacher park is in the Northwest corner of the town and has a swimming pool, tennis court, basketball court, playground, ball fields and an ice skating rink at Dylan Arena. The annual Drayton Riverfest is held in July. This event features a grand parade, kids games in the park, a street dance and fireworks.
