ABOUT THE AREA
Thunder Basin National Grassland is in the Powder River Basin located in the valley of Big Horn Mountains and the Black Hills. It is more than 3000 acres in size and is south to the I-70 corridor. This is the same one which passes through Colorado. Camping, fishing and hiking are allowed. Now one can spend a lifetime hiking here but may not be able to cover everything.
