ABOUT THE AREA
Small and rural Appalachian Mountain town, quiet and serene. History dates back well into the 1700s, though the county was not established until the mid 1800s. Coal peaked in the 1970s, and the area has survived that and has a lot going for it. Not too much crime, plenty of scenery, hunting and all that. Mountains too.
