Idaho Falls District Court may also be called the district court of Bonneville county. Located in the same building is the magistrate court of Bonneville county. These courts are part of the Seventh judicial district of Idaho. Running through Bonneville county you will find IS 15, US 20, US 26, SR 31 and SR 43 which will get you through most of the county.

The Idaho state legislature took the Eastern and Northern parts of Bingham county to create Bonneville county around 1911. It was named for a United states army officer who had explored the Snake river area almost 80 years before. The The Ririe Reservoir, accessible from Blacktail park and the Juniper campground, is a popular recreational spot available for boating, waterskiing, fishing and camping. The Tautphaus Park zoo in Idaho Falls is a great place to take the kids. Here they can get to see African Penguins, Gibbons and South American birds in addition to the many animal species and birds from Africa, Asia, Australia, New Guinea, North america and South America totaling over 400 animals. In addition there are a host of animals and birds to pet and feed in the children's zoo. The Joe Marmo/Wayne Lehto Ice arena and the Wes Deist Aquatic center are two facilities in Idaho Falls that draw a crowd. The Civic auditorium present Idaho Falls Symphony Family Concert and the Idaho Falls Symphony Opera among other production throughout the year. The Museum of Idaho has among its permanent exhibits the following themes; atomic power, Lewis and Clark in Idaho, Eagle Rock memory Lane and Secrets of the Cave dealing with the life of peoples who lived in the Northern Great basin over the past 12,000 years.
