Loa District Court is the district court of Wayne county in the Sixth Judicial district of Utah. The courthouse is also home to the Wayne County Justice court presided over the honorable Roy Brown The justice court's mailing address is P.O. ABOUT THE AREA
After early settlement in the county in the 1880's, Wayne county was created in the Spring of 1892 from Piute County although Loa was founded around 1876. Wayne County Community center is located in Bicknell Utah. Capitol Reef National park is located to the Southeast of Loa and is characterized by its colorful sandstone cliffs, impressive domes. and soaring monoliths. A county museum is housed in the historical Wayne Stake tithing office in Loa circa 1897.
