ABOUT THE AREA
Peaquannock township has a population of nearly 14,000 people in 2 sections - Peaquannock and Pompton. Both sections have gotten their names from the Native Indian language. The Municipal Court is located in Pompton Plains. The township has moved on from being a rural community to homey and strategically located self-sufficient township. Peaquannock is well served by Rt 23, I-80, I-287 and US Rt 46. It also has excellent bus service.
