ABOUT THE AREA
Rockaway borough is home to nearly 6500 residents. It is far far smaller than the neighboring Rockaway township. I-80 and US Rt 46 border the borough. The borough is mainly residential and has some small home-grown business as most of the bigwigs are in Rockaway Township. The number of commercial establishments and businesses in the township are approximately 70. The Rockaway Borough Historic Committee is located on Mt Hope Road in Rockaway and is just a mile from the Borough Courthouse.
