Rockaway Township borders Rockaway Borough and is home to nearly 23,000 residents. The famous Rockaway Townsquare mall is located in Rockaway. Picatinny Arsenal and Golf Club is located in Rockaway too. The township is known for it's many parks and lakes. White Meadow Lake and Mt. Hope Lake are famous tourist destinations. I-80, Rt 15 and US Rt 46 traverse the township.
