ABOUT THE AREA
New Providence has a population of about 12,000 people. This scenic borough is located in the second range of Watchung Mountains and has roads that meander through hills and valleys. Though largely residential, it is also home to many companies and commercial establishments. Companies such as Cartridge World, MDP Systems etc are located in New Providence. The Village Shopping Center in the downtown area is a busy shop. Other attractions include Passaic River Park and Oakwood Park. Overlook Hospital in Summit serves New Providence Borough. Lucent Technologies in Murray Hill is nearby too. Routes 647 and 649 pass through the borough.
