ABOUT THE AREA
Washington Township in Morris County is the County's largest municipality. It is spread over 45 square miles and has a population of about 18,000. Long Valley is a section of Washington Township and houses the Municipal Court. Schooleys Mountain Park and Hawk Pointe Golf Club are in the region. Routes 24, 513 and 517 and US Highway 46 pass through Washington Township. The area is known for its fine mineral springs, plus there is some good fishing.
