COMMENTS
Caroline Town Court is in the same building as the Town Hall (the former Slaterville Springs School) & listed on the National Register of Historical Places. Slaterville Rd is also Rte 79.
ABOUT THE AREA
1869 - the Caroline Cheese Factory opens; two years later, Slaterville becomes a health spa, with "magnetic springs"; then the get a roller skating rink - that is a history for ya; Caroline boasts more state forest land than anywhere else in the county; proud of its past, but looking to the future, Caroline became the 8th place in NY to supply part of its municipal needs with windpower.
