COMMENTS
Croton-on-Hudson was formally incorporated as a village in the Town of Cortlandt in 1898. It should not confused with nearby Crotonville, which is actually part of Ossining, NY. The village's railroad station, Croton-Harmon, is served by Metro North and Amtrak. Several major films have been filmed in Croton On Hudson, including "Tarzan", "Daylight", "Red Dawn", "Reds", and most recently, "War of the Worlds" starring Tom Cruise.
ABOUT THE AREA
Hard to believe, but this village is on the Hudson River. Long history includes the Kitchawanc tribe.
