ABOUT THE AREA
Named after the Scioto River, this area is full of rolling hills, valleys, scenic waterways and lush green forests right in natures lap out here. It was a famous river port and flourished well in the past. Present day it is well regarded for scenic spots and fishing. The business community is still flourishing on the banks of the river and Portsmouth, the county seat, is a famous trading point.
