Judge Swihart made it to the bench after serving as Office Manager for her predecessor. She is only the second woman to serve as District Judge in Beaver County. She is making a case for a wave of women to follow in her footsteps.
ABOUT THE AREA
District 36-3-04 serves Frankfort Springs, South Heights, Hanover Township, Hopewell Township, and Independence Township. Tony Dorsett played football at Hopewell High School. On a not so positive note, USAir Flight 427 crashed and killed 127 passengers in Hopewell. So as for "hope"? Well, it comes and goes here.
