Beaver County is home to nearly 200K people, most of whom are quiet country-minded folk. The area is pastoral, having tree-covered mountains, large cliffs visible from the highway, the Ohio River, the Beaver River, Brady`s Run Park, Brush Creek Park, and Old Economy Park. Penn State has a branch campus here, but the County's academic pride lies in Geneva College. The high schools are focused around great football teams. Crime is relatively low and community events are promoted locally, keeping Beaver County virtually unmentioned in Pittsburgh newspapers and programs.
