ABOUT THE AREA
Known primarily for dairy & fruit farming, Gardiner also includes the Whitecliff Vineyard & Winery; the hamlet of Trapps, and the Trapps Mt. Hamlet Historic District; the Mohonk Preserve, with hiking/biking/xcountry skiing; and the Wallkill River, one of the few rivers in the eastern US to flow south to north.
