ABOUT THE AREA

Incorporated over 100 years ago, the Village of Candor is noted for its all out 4th of July parade. Each year, a wood carving thang, hosted by the Candor Fire Department, presents exhibits by local crafters, including a long, tall, skinny blue bird, what many consider a symbol of Tioga County's quality of life.
