The village is known to locals as just "Castleton". The beautiful Schodack Island State Park is located south of the village. The Village Hall was originally the first public school in Castleton.<br>**A commenter says the Village Hall moved, but we checked the village website and it's the same as what we've got. Maybe they're thinking of a nearby town court?
