COMMENTS
Belle Glade Traffic Court gets relatively little work compared to the eastern parts of the county. This location of the Palm Beach County Circuit Court does see some work related to Lake Okeechobee, including some vacationing DUI cases and boating while intoxicated cases too.
ABOUT THE AREA
The soil in the plains surrounding the town is fertile black soil. This supports important crops like celery. Palm Beach Community College has a campus out here. The renowned Zora Neal Hurston maintained a residence in the area, the place of her birth, prior to her death. After she died she stopped maintaining it.
JUDGES
Judge Berman returned to work in April of 2008 after a sexual harassment "scandal." From what little we read, he got a raw deal. But we don't know his Honor.
