ABOUT THE AREA
Pisgah Wilderness State Park, with beaver ponds and forests, is just east of Brattleboro, and the MA border is not much further to the south. Route 9, the southern highway (if you can call it that) crosses I-91 in Brattleboro. A crossroads yes, but not as hectic as some others.
