ABOUT THE AREA
The town of Humble had settlers since the 1800's. In the early 1900's the town was the biggest oil producer in Texas. Now-a-days you will find IAH, Houston Intercontinental Airport, also named after former president George H. W. Bush. Flights from all around the world use this airport to land in Houston, and Continental Airlines uses this airport as its main hub. Rice students jokingly call it Houston Intergalactic. It's a very big airport. Houston Hobby is thought to be more convenient by many.
