ABOUT THE AREA
Old Galveston Road or Highway 3, which crosses through South Houston, used to be the way to get to Galveston Bay before I-45 South Freeway was constructed. Many Hispanics have migrated in to this part of Houston so you may hear Espanol spoken more than English in the area. Hobby Airport is a short haul away.
