ABOUT THE AREA
Mixing the farming activities with the dairy and cheese production, the residents of Pinckney keep themselves active regardless any weather conditions. The Dye Schoolhouse was the first school built in this community by Elisha Barnes - did they call him Barney? In their beginnings, the agricultural activity was only for self-consummation but the marketing evolution of Watertown and Copenhagen motivated the residents of this town to evolve into the creation of some mercantile stores.
