This Village was incorporated on the early 1900's. Originally called Caldwell (in honor of James Cadwell), its today a real rural paradise of small communities located around the Lake George beauty. Tourist may simply drive around this territories to refresh their vision on every beautiful corner of this territory. The community has created new memories over the war memories of the Fort William Henry, which operates now as a museum by the historical society. Longtime residents will remember the nearby amusement park, Gaslight Village, which is no longer in operation but may be doing something under a different name.
