COMMENTS
The Town of Harrison and Village of Harrison are "co-terminus municipalities", meaning that the boundaries for both are one and the same, and employ both Town and Village attorneys. The Harrison Municipal Building, where the town court is located, is adjacent to Metro North's Harrison railroad station. The Town also has a system for parking violations where if you ignore three or more tickets, NY's DMV will suspend your license or driving privilege. That's a bad thing.
ABOUT THE AREA
Once known as "Harrison's Purchase", the town/village of Harrison is 30 miles northeast of Manhattan, and is close to Long Island Sound. White Plains, Rye and Mamaroneck are minutes away and lies about 5 miles away from the Connecticut border. The community of Purchase is a sub-section of Harrison. Joe Torre, manager of the New York Yankees has his home in Harrison. Fashion designer Kenneth Cole resides in Purchase.
JUDGES
The Honorable Marc J. Lust and Hon. John M. Voetsch are the Town Justices.
PROSECUTORS
Town and Village attorneys prosecute local law and code violations. Westchester DA handles criminal offenses.
TYPE OF CASES
Speeding tickets from I-287, I-684, the Hutchinson River Parkway and a squib of I-95, along with other criminal and traffic cases.
