The City of Marina is small yet beautiful running along the Pacific Coast for about 5 miles, just north of the city of Monterey. The sky is always blue and the weather is perfect in all seasons. It is like coming home to the nature out here. For some cities the name says it all and so is Marina located on the Monterey bay, it is a beautiful Riviera and becomes even more beautiful by night fall. You have to drive to the City through the exotic California route 1. The Marina State beach is most popular among adventure sports fans for surfing, hang gliding and other water sports. People indulge in a lot of bay watch activity here too! You can spot a celebrity or two on their private beaches if you are lucky. In summers watch the whales migrating towards Mexico and also other sea life. Food is never a problem with lovely small restaurants and specialty places to eat from. Carmel is also driving distance from here, which is home to the famous California sea lions. You can spot several of them here.
